This GD210 – Image and Tech Tinkering project was called "Form and Dimension," and was intended to serve as an introduction to 3D modeling using clara.io, an online 3D modeling tool. The assignment was to create a 3D abstraction of a letter. I was already familiar with Blender and Sketchup, so I made my model using those tools.
A tool called "slicer" was then used to create cross-sectional layers of the model that could be laser cut into cardboard and assembled.



We were also assigned to create an animation of our letters 3D model, featuring multiple distortions of the shape. You can view this animation below.
