The Unity Project was an exhibition at my high school in which a circular arrangement of poles, each with a sign referencing an aspect of one's identity. Participants were given spools of yarn and encouraged to walk throughout the circular area and wrap their yarn around each pole that correlates to an aspect of their identity. The resulting piece was a visual map of our communities identities.
